This is my story, and why I’d like to tell yours.
Hello! I am Teri - I am here because creating makes me feel alive. I love the buzz and the tingle in my heart when I click the shutter on a perfect shot, and the warm pride in my chest when I put out work that makes me feel.
And I feel, a lot. For two years I was a lawyer, and as someone who isn’t inclined to confrontation, being combative and aggressive on a daily basis took a lot out of me. My emotional balm came on the weekends, when I side hustled as a wedding photo/videographer. Week by week, marinating in so much love and celebration, I saw what a joyful privilege it was to tell visual stories of love.
I’ve been shooting ever since my dad bought a Canon 500D when I was 13. In 2020, I started shooting my first graduations, pre-weddings and eventually weddings. I’ve been side hustling ever since, and in 2023 when I decided to quit being a lawyer, I took a year off to travel New Zealand. I lived in a scrappy little campervan with my partner for 7 months (that’s us in the photo below!), and on one of our many long hikes in the mountains, it suddenly became so clear.
Telling stories, that’s what I’m here to do. You’ll find every gallery full of emotive imagery that makes you feel - like a warm hug, or that smile you get when you spot your partner from across the train station, or a love song about running away together.
Like I said, I feel a lot! At weddings, you’ll often find me sniffling behind the camera, desperately trying to wipe away tears, especially during speeches. I can’t help it!! This is why I make sure to include speeches whenever I make wedding films - because to me, words tell the most intimate and personal stories.
Most of all, my own love story gives me the confidence to tell yours. I have been with my partner since 2017, and we are finally getting married in 2025. Being with him is the easiest decision I ever had to make. Without a doubt, he is the sturdy pillar upon which this business is built.
And so, this is my story. I hope that I will have the chance to tell yours, with joy and gratitude guiding me every step of the way.
